Description

FBA Solutions is expanding and has opened a new Common Law Lawyer position to better serve its clientele. This full-time permanent lawyer position is available now and work will be conducted by telework.

Lawyers of FBA Solutions answer legal questions on all aspect of private life of clients benefiting from a legal assistance program. Legal information is delivered in an accessible and clear manner.  

Your day-to-day

  • Respond to legal information requests from clients regarding a variety of issues, including court proceedings, work-related issues, family law, contractual disputes, neighbourhood problems, successions, etc.
  • Carry out jurisprudential research.
  • Manage legal expense insurance claims.
  • Draw up legal notices and revise contracts.
  • Conduct negotiations.
  • Etc.

  • Work schedule of 37.5 hours per week (work shift from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., as needed)

  • Salary to be determined based on experience and current salary scale.

You have what we are looking for?

  • Degree in Common Law.
  • Member of the Law Society of Alberta or Ontario since at least 3 years or of another law Society or both.
  • Proficiency in search tools such as CanLII.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and to simplify legal information.
  • Discipline and sense of organization.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and sense of responsibility.
  • Team player.
  • Professionalism and positive attitude.
  • Ability to use a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and software.
  • Bilingual and experience in civil and administrative law considered an asset.
