Business law is an area of practice that has evolved to become as diverse as the businesses it serves, encompassing everything from incorporation to dissolution and all may arise in between. This Section examines a broad range of legal topics relevant to businesses of all sizes and those who advise them.

Regular monthly lunch speakers and after-work events provide this Section’s members a number of opportunities to network with peers while learning about relevant legal developments and best practices from subject matter experts.

Meetings will examine developments in core business law areas such as corporate governance and commercial transactions.  Recognizing that business lawyers may also be faced with questions and issues in a number of specialized areas, speakers at this Section’s meetings may also share insights on issues such as employment and immigration, tax, intellectual property, privacy, secured lending, bankruptcy and insolvency, insurance, real estate, and environmental law.  More general legal topics such as contract interpretation and drafting, dispute resolution, compliance and privilege may also be discussed, in addition to notable decisions and legislative changes.

Join this Section and enhance your professional development and our professional network in the practice of business law.
